Our approach to security

Last updated: July 13, 2026

This is a reference translation for convenience. The authoritative version is the Japanese original.

Deskflow Labs (“the Studio”) places importance on building tools that users can keep using with confidence. Here we explain the approach to security and data handling that the Studio values in developing software and browser extensions. This describes the Studio’s policy and does not indicate that it holds any specific third-party certification.

1. Least-privilege permissions

The permissions and information our software uses are limited to what is necessary to realize a feature. For browser extensions and the like, we keep the requested permissions to only those that are needed.

2. Clarity about data handling

We explain, as clearly as possible, what is stored, what is sent externally, and what is processed only on the device. In particular, for information related to the user’s work, we emphasize making clear where it is processed.

3. On-device processing by default

We aim for designs where processing such as backup, saving, organizing, and verification happens on the user’s device as much as possible, keeping externally transmitted information to a minimum. This keeps the range over which information spreads externally small.

4. Designed not to interrupt

We value ensuring that processing such as saving, organizing, and backup does not interrupt the user’s work. We design so that safety-related processing does not, in turn, get in the way of the work.

5. Continuous improvement

Development does not end at release; we keep improving over the long term based on real usage and feedback. When an issue is identified, we assess its scope of impact and make the necessary fixes.

6. Reporting vulnerabilities

If you find a security concern or vulnerability regarding the Services, please contact us via the contact page. We will review it and consider the necessary response. When reporting, it helps if you include the information needed to reproduce the issue.

More detailed handling is stated for each product in its description and store listing. For the handling of personal information, please also see our Privacy Policy.
